Female Elephant Seal
Female Elephant Seal

Within 45 minutes of leaving the dock today we were successfully in contact with members of L Pod, one of our three Resident Killer Whale families. However, while our first objective is to bring our guests to the whales we are also aware of the tremendous diversity of other wildlife in the Salish Sea.Time permitting; we always attempt to show some of this diversity to our guests as we return to Victoria.  As we travel between sites our on-board naturalists will tell our guests about the mammals and birds we are seeing and explain their place in the ecosystem we are exploring. Check out this super shot of a female Elephant Seal resting at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve.
