Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and if you and your loved one haven’t made any plans yet then don’t worry! We’ve come up with a list of some romantic and memorable experiences to share with someone special.

Victoria was actually rated to be Canada’s most romantic city by several surveys and it’s hard not to see why! With its temperate climate, stunning ocean-side location and its rich history, Victoria is truly romantic all year round. Victoria does do some extra special things around this time of year, so here’s our list of some romantic things to do for Valentine’s Day!

  1. Romantic Walk through the City

Every year Victoria is turned into a romantic city of lights for Valentine’s Day. All the trees lining Government Street are lit up with pink and red fairy lights, creating a rosy glow. The already romantic Empress Hotel is also lit up with pink lights decorating the outside of the hotel. Take a walk with your loved one through the city of lights, and look for some lit up secret spots to steal a kiss.

  1. Couple’s Spa Treatment at the Brentwood Bay Spa

The Brentwood Bay Spa is a gorgeous spot about 30 minutes from Downtown Victoria and would be the perfect spot to spend a relaxing and romantic day with your loved one. Start with an invigorating body scrub before the warm Moor Mud is applied head to toe. You will then be wrapped in a cozy cocoon while having a scalp massage. After a rinse, it finishes off with a full body massage. Sounds wonderfully relaxing!

  1. Death By Chocolate Buffet in The Bengal Lounge

The historic Bengal Lounge in the very romantic Empress Hotel is putting on this decadent and definitely not to be missed Chocolate Buffet! You and your loved one can sit by a cozy fire, sip on some martinis and treat yourself to an unbelievable chocolate dessert buffet! If you want something even more special, why not spend the night at the Empress?

Dates: February 13th and 14th only
Time: 5 pm -11 pm
Cost: $25

  1. Royal BC Museum’s Night Shift: Wild Romance

The museum will be hosting a special evening leading up to Valentine’s Day with live music, presentations and adult-only crafts and activities sure to get your heart racing. The galleries will still be open for your private viewing as well! There will also be a cash bar and food from Truffles Catering! Definitely not a night to be missed!

Date: February 14th at 9- 11 pm

  1. Take a scenic flight in a float plane with Harbour Air

What could be more romantic than surprising your loved one with a scenic flight over one of the most beautiful areas in the world? Board a float plane for an adventure of a Valentine’s Day and soar over romantic Victoria or the beautiful Southern Gulf Islands; you may even spot one of our resident killer whale pods!
