Save Lolita

Lolita is a Southern Resident Killer Whale & a member of L Pod, that was captured in Puget Sound in 1970 & sold to the Miami Seaquarium. She has spent over 40 years in captivity & has been made perform for food every single day. It’s a horrible way to live & I’m sure you will agree with us when we say it’s time to let her go! U.S. federal officials are seeking public comment on a proposal made this week to have Lolita included in the endangered-species listing for Puget Sound orcas. Activists consider this announcement by the National Marine Fisheries Service another step toward releasing her. Keeping our fingers crossed for you Lolita. Love from all the crew at SpringTide
