The Victoria Symphony Splash
This annual free event certainly can’t be missed! Victoria’s beautiful Inner Harbour is transformed into an outdoor concert stage, where the Victoria Symphony performs Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, complete with bells, cannons, and fireworks. About 40,000 people attend this spectacular event every year. There is also food, vendors as well as other musical entertainment. The event starts at 1 pm, with the orchestra starting at 7:30 pm.
Victoria’s Shakespeare by the Sea
Enjoy a night of Shakespeare by the sea! A beautiful stage gets set up at Ogden Point, where performances of Shakespeare’s classic plays “Hamlet” and “The Tempest” are performed. BearTrax
This event showcases the world’s best freeride mountain bikers as they ride “The Bear”, located at the Bear Mountain Resort on Skirt Mountain. Thousands of people attend this exciting free event, which also has a kids zone, vendors, food trucks, Live DJ and more. Food Truck Festival
Located right behind the BC Royal Museum is a delicious summer-long event where the courtyard is transformed into an international food fair. Grab some of your favourite foods from local food trucks including DeadBeetz, Pig BBQ Joint, A Streetcar Named New Orleans, Puerto Vallarta Amigos, The Love Perogy and Wild West BBQ Salmon. There is also a great stand selling local beer and wine!
The Sooke Fine Arts Show
The beautiful town of Sooke is hosting an event which showcases 375 works of original, west coast art by artists on Vancouver Island and the surrounding BC coastal islands. HarbourCats Baseball Game and Fireworks
Victoria’s local baseball team is playing an important game on August 3rd at the Royal Athletic Park. The game, hopefully after a win, will be followed by a spectacular display of fireworks at the park. Check out the info here!
